April 25th, 2021 – Long Story Short – Israel
After the creation and the fall, we see God begin his great rescue plan through a man named Abraham and his descendants – the people of Israel. As we follow Israel’s history through 2,000 years, we see that although it is difficult to be different, we are called to be different in order to be a blessing.
April 18th, 2021 – Long Story Short – The Fall
The sneaky snake in the garden disrupts the goodness and harmony that God intends in creation. The real enemy of our lives is intent on driving a wedge in our harmony with God. Yet even in the midst of a fall of humanity, God provides glimpses of grace through shelter and promises of salvation.
April 11th, 2021 – Long Story Short – Creation
The first major movement of the Scriptures is the creation story. When we look at the story of creation, we see that we were created from community, which is known as the doctrine of the Trinity, and for community. “Doing life together” is part of God’s plan for us as human beings.
April 4th, 2021 – Easter Sunday – A Journey Through Lent – A Prayer for Security
David’s psalm celebrates that the Lord offers a path of life, joy, and eternity. All of God’s promises have been fulfilled in the resurrection of Jesus.
