The purpose of humbly asking God to remove our shortcomings is not to change God’s will but to shape our own will. Prayer makes us more compassionate and caring.
July 10th, 2022 – Breathing Underwater – Step 6: Be entirely ready to have God remove all defects of character
Rather than justify our shortcomings or cling to “lesser” sins, we must get to the point where we are ready for God to entirely remove all our defects of character. We do this by preparing our minds for action, being of sober mind, and setting all of our hope on the grace of Jesus Christ.
July 3rd, 2022 – Breathing Underwater – Step 5: Admit to God, ourselves, and another human the nature of our wrongs
Confessing our sin to God and to others is incredibly difficult, but this type of accountability brings freedom as we experience God’s forgiveness.
